Once a technology is well-established in a license deal or a start-up, it typically develops its own support structures, and Melbourne Ventures will gradually withdraw from day to day involvement with the technology. However, in many cases we are still available to assist with further rounds of capital raising, or with potential follow-on licensing opportunities. Note however that the University still retains responsibility for administering royalty payments and monitoring performance on license deals.
